In Q4 2023, the top five Delivered Meal Kits and Specialty Foods applications on the iOS platform in Egypt exhibited a variety of trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Mahshihub saw fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking early in the quarter with 969 downloads in the week of October 2 and gradually declining to 105 downloads by the week of December 25. Despite the download activity, the app did not generate any revenue during this period.

Factor_ Prepared Meal Delivery experienced a notable increase in both weekly downloads and active users. Downloads rose steadily from 3 in the last week of September to a significant 223 by the end of December. Correspondingly, active users increased from 72 to 328 over the same period, indicating growing user engagement.

HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery showed a steady growth in active users, rising from 518 to 815 throughout the quarter. Downloads also saw a sharp increase towards the end of December, reaching 181 in the last week, up from 37 in the initial weeks.

EveryPlate: Cooking Simplified had a relatively stable performance with a gradual increase in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads peaked at 99 in the final week of December, and active users increased from 73 at the end of September to 163 by the end of the quarter.

Finally, Vivino: Buy the Right Wine showed mixed performance with sporadic revenue generation. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at 42 in the last week of December. Active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at 61, slightly up from 54 at the start.
